A chemical technician at the University of Vienna in the Department of Analytical Chemistry and in the Mass spectrometry Core Facility
Peter is a senior technician with a background in all kinds of chromatography with a special focus on trace analysis and preparation of silica-based stationary phases for the separation of chiral and non-chiral analytes. He has been working in close cooperation with CHIRAL TECHNOLOGIES® on preparing batches of commercially available chiral stationary phases during his time in the group of Prof. Wolfgang Lindner. His early experiences were the analysis of trace contaminants of tap and groundwater using various kinds of sample preparation techniques including SPE, LLE, and derivatisation, especially for the further analysis by GC coupled to different detectors (MS, ECD, FID, TSD, and ESD).
